Setting up
How do I set Damaruka up?
Sign in, name your business and give Damaruka your website. It drafts what to tell callers in about 20 seconds; check it, change anything, and save.
I have no website.
Choose “No website? Write it in yourself” and type your address, hours and services.
How do I hear Damaruka before callers do?
Press Call Damaruka in the app and talk to it in your browser. Your first 30 minutes of test calls are free.

Calls and your line
How do calls reach Damaruka?
Damaruka answers on its own phone number, which comes with your plan. Give that number to callers, or forward your office line to it; the Phone number page in the app shows how.
Which calendar does Damaruka use?
Google Calendar, with Outlook and Microsoft 365 coming. Damaruka books inside your opening hours, only when you are free. Without a calendar it takes messages.
Which languages does Damaruka speak?
English in the US. Hindi and English in India, including both mixed together.
What if Damaruka does not know an answer?
It says so and takes a message, rather than guess.

Your calls
Where do I see my calls?
In Calls, newest first, each with its summary, recording and transcript.
How do I delete a call?
Open the call and choose Delete call. Its recording goes with it.
How long are calls kept?
90 days unless you choose 7, 30, 180 or 365 days in Settings.

Alerts and connections
How do I hear about a call?
Damaruka emails a summary the moment each call ends: who called, what it wrote down and a link to the recording. Add up to five addresses in Alerts, and choose an evening summary of the day if you like.
Can Damaruka text me when a call is urgent?
Not yet. Text alerts are built: you add your mobile number in Alerts and confirm it with a six digit code, and Damaruka texts it about emergencies and urgent messages, never about test calls. They switch on once Damaruka's own texting number is registered with the phone companies. Until then, every alert comes by email.
Do callers get a confirmation?
Damaruka tells them the time on the call. Texting it to them is coming: a text to a caller comes from your business, so the phone companies ask for each business to be registered first.
What can Damaruka send my calls to?
In Integrations: a webhook, Zapier, Slack and HubSpot, and for law firms, Clio Grow. WhatsApp alerts are built and switch on once Damaruka's WhatsApp number is approved. Each one can send a test before a real call reaches it, and you can pause or remove it any time. Clio Manage is coming.

Plans
How do I cancel?
On the Plan and usage page, choose Cancel plan. Damaruka then takes messages only until you choose a plan again.
What happens past my minutes?
In the US, extra minutes cost $0.08 each if you turn them on; otherwise Damaruka takes messages. In India you buy 100 more minutes ahead.
